Searchteam Narcotics

Nuisance and eventual additional dangerous situations are factors that can occur at almost every enterprise or institution. Preventing or bringing it under the spotlight of this problem is mostly difficult. Therefore, Trackerdogs has started in 2001 with the training of a Narcotics Tracker Dog. After a few visits to the different training centers for Tracker Dogs in the United States, we took the first steps to train a Dutch team. By committing this – in the meantime 8 dogs strong - team at many occasions, our experiences and insight have grown strongly.

Two of our dogs and their handlers have succeeded in passing an 80 hour lasting test in Louisiana in April 2005 - 2007. According to the rules of the CSI (Canine Standard International). Therefore, we keep travelling to the United States 2 to 3 times a year with our teams in order to go through the necessary training and education, optimizing the training of our dogs at different scents. All our Narcotics Tracker Dogs are trained and certified under American standards. These dogs can be put to service at many tasks; searching luggage, building and cargo destined for high-risk countries, etc.

Some of our Narcotics Tracker Dogs are committed to search people for possession of drugs. During entrance checks, the security people present watch out for these goods, but more and more the commitment of our Narcotics Tracker Dogs prove to be far more efficient. We have an exclusive agreement with the Police concerning the disposal of these drugs, which allows us to use the vault installed by the Police Department in our vehicle.
